How to get bikini ready, lets see how from

Step 1: Drin
k lots of cold water Ever wonder how Jessica Alba keeps her ultra-toned abs in shape? Not only does the Sin City starlet, 24, stick to a low-fat diet, she drinks plenty of water to stay hydrated and feel full. “I drink about three liters a day,” Jessica reveals. To boost your liquid intake, keep a bottle of chilled water at your side whenever possible and aim to drink at least two liters every day.

Step 2: Cut back on booze They may be strolling the red carpet, but health-conscious Hollywood A-listers are rarely seen knocking back alcoholic drinks at glitzy award ceremonies and premieres. Not only are wine, beer and spirits packed with kilojoules, but drinking grog can entice you into eating salty snacks tha
t can undo all your good work. Unwilling to give up her favourite foods to stay fit, supermodel Elle Macpherson, 42, decided to quit alcohol. The clean-living Aussie says, “I don’t take drugs or smoke and I’ve stopped drinking.” If you consider that a large glass of wine can pack up to 620 kilojoules, by cutting out one glass a day you can reduce your weekly kilojoule intake by more than 4300kJ.

Step 3: Get moving
Trendsetting Gwen Stefani has a killer body – but it doesn’t come easy. A “chubby” kid at school, the sexy songstress sweats it out at the gym or goes for long runs outdoors. “I have to work out hard to be as hot as I am,” says the 36-year-old. “It’s difficult for me, and I want girls to know that. I’m in the gym four days a week, and the other days I run.” For anyone not keen on pounding the pavement, speed walking and hiking are great alternatives when it comes to burning

Step 4: Eat all your vegies Low in kilojoules and high in vitamins and fibre, fresh vegetables are the ultimate slimming food. Sexy Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria credits her love of the green leafy stuff for her ultra-slim figure. “I eat a lot, but I love vegetables. I love spinach. I love brussels sprouts. I eat vegetables with every meal – and I’m dedicated to exercise, working with a personal trainer three times a week and practising yoga,” says the 30-year-old actress.

Step 5: Avoid sweet treats
In the battle of the bulge, foods like chocolate, boiled lollies and sugary drinks can be your worst enemy. When Drew Barrymore, 30, wants to shed a few kilos, she banishes sweet treats from her kitchen and replaces them with diet fizzy drinks and low-joule jelly. Step 6: Consume green tea A great weight-loss drink, many A-listers enjoy this metabolism-bo
osting beverage. Model Sophie Dahl is a fan of the tea, which helped her drop from a size 14 to a size 8. “The more I drink, the less hungry I feel,” says the 28-year-old.

Step 7: Lay off the salt Too much salt can cause bloating and water retention, the ultimate evil when it comes to squeezing into that cute bikini. Nobody knows this better than Dirrty singer Christina Aguilera, who loves to nibble on snack foods while she’s touring. But when the 24-year-old pop star is concentrating on toning up for a music video, she opts for a sin-free diet, eating fresh, organic foods and cutting out salt. “If she’s shooting a video, she tries not to eat any junk food that day,” says Christina’s personal trainer Ashley Borden. “If you have fat and salt in your system, you look bloated.”

Step 8: Don't eat after 7pm Late-ni
ght munching can lead to piling on the kilos at a surprising rate, so stay away from the biscuit tin when you sit down in front of the telly. To prevent the munchies, RenĂ©e Zellweger, 36, sets a strict eating curfew – no nibbles after 7pm. To shed her Bridget Jones’s Diary curves, the now-svelte actress ate healthily, cutting back on fat and dairy products and eating at regular intervals throughout the day, but never late at night.

Step 9: Cut down on bad fats
When Uma Thurman, 35, shed 12 kilos for her role in Kill Bill, she cut out dairy foods (especially cheese), red meat and bread. “I found out pretty quickly that lowering your carb and [saturated] fat intake not only helps you lose weight, but it also tones your body,” sh
e says.

Step 10: Drink fresh juices
Juices are the quickest way to provide your body with all the vitamins, minerals and enzymes required for good health. Fresh vegie and fruit juices are practically fat-free, deliver a powerhouse of nutrients when you combine varieties, and are a great pick-me-up. Many celebs use them to keep their weight down.
