Odette Jewerly

I just love pretty baubles! Here is a little info about a new jewelry line that most defiantly deserves all the press. "Odette New York is a jewelry line inspired by organic and industrial shapes, natural specimens, antique artifacts, and travel mementos; made using ancient and modern wax carving techniques and hand fabrication.

Each original design begins from a pencil sketch that is carefully translated by hand into wax before being cast into metal. Classic with a slightly bohemian touch, the handmade nature of Odette displays an organic aesthetic that is signature to the collection.

Jennifer Sarkilahti is an artist in New York City who designs and crafts her distinctive collection, Odette New York, out of her Brooklyn studio. Virginia-bred, Sarkilahti studied fine arts for many years, receiving her Master of Fine Arts in Painting from George Mason University. Fusing fine art sensibilities with fashion, Sarkilahti started her line, Odette New York in 2006.

Since launching in 2006, Odette New York has been featured in magazines like Lucky and Jane and sold at distinctive boutiques across the globe, including Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Okura in Tokyo, Cog and Pearl in Brooklyn, Rare Device in San Francisco, and Franck et Fils in Paris."
